Toros Tarım became the export champion for the 5th consecutive year

Toros Tarım added another achievement to its accolades by winning the “İKMİB Stars of Export Award” in chemical fertilizer exports for the fifth time in a row.
 

Toros Tarım, the biggest player in the fertilizer industry in Turkey in terms of its installed fertilizer production capacity and annual production, claimed the fertilizer export championship title for the fifth year in a row at the “İKMİB Stars of Export Awards” organized by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (İKMİB). As a result of export restrictions in 2021, the total export tonnage of Toros Tarım, the last year’s starring exporter of chemical fertilizers, was 382,947 tons, following a decrease of 72,471 tons compared to the previous year. Having exported chemical fertilizers to 10 different countries from Honduras to Kenya in 2021, Toros Tarım took its place in the “İKMIB Stars of Export Award Ceremony” as the top exporter company and once again registered its championship.
 
Retaining the first place for five consecutive years
 
Talking about the İKMİB Stars of Export Awards, Toros Tarım Chairman of the Board Hakan Göral stated that achieving this success for the fifth time means a lot to them and that they attach great importance to contributing to Turkey's economy. Emphasizing that their priority has always been to meet the needs of Turkish farmers and prosper them, Göral added that they maximized their capacity utilization using exports effectively. Hakan Göral said, “In 2021, we achieved a sales of 1,919,778 tons, of which 1,536,831 tons were sold in the domestic market and 382,947 tons were exported. We exported to 10 different countries, from Honduras to Kenya. In future, we will continue to expand to new countries.”
