Aiming for the top in Human Resources

Having broken several grounds in its sector so far, Toros Agri has also pioneered its sector by receiving “Investors in People (IIP)” accreditation in the field of Human Management.

The developments that have been experienced in the global economy in recent years and the increasing international competition make companies’ human capital more and more valuable with each passing day. Having continued its investments in human resources based on this fact, Toros Agri has recently been awarded with “Investors in People” (IIP) accreditation, a human management model of  global standards covering over 35 thousand organizations in 75 countries. With this achievement, Toros Agri has become the first company with IIP accreditation in the Agricultural Industry in Turkey.

A supportive approach in human resources management, IIP Standard was firstly developed in the United Kingdom in 1990s with the purpose of regulation of business processes through personnel development and improvement of business performance. The IIP Standard that is internationally accepted nowadays envisages the sharing of corporate visions through adoption of a human-oriented management strategy and the achievement of increased motivation and productivity through improvement of employees’ professional education-learning levels. IIP Standard advocates that an organization having employees with high spirits and motivation will further improve the corporate performance in the medium and long run.

Having received the “Standard” accreditation of IIP, Toros Agri is aiming to reach “High Performance” level that is the highest accreditation level of IIP by continuing its investments in people. Hakan Göral, the General Manager of Toros Agri and the Vice President of Tekfen Holding responsible for the Agri-Industry Group has pointed out the importance of contributions made by company employees on the road to success and said, “For success, it is very important that all our employees understand and embrace the common dream for the future and the corporate culture and are also willing from the bottom of their heart to contribute with their unique added values in order to keep them alive”. Göral drew attention to the importance of teamwork for maximization of the company’s accreditation level.
