Ceyhan Production Plant

Ceyhan Production Plant, the first fertilizer factory of Toros Tarım, is located on the northern shore of İskenderun Bay, approximately 30 km from Ceyhan. With its deep water terminal and optimum logistical location due to its proximity to Ceyhan-İskenderun Highway, Ceyhan Production Plant started production in the beginning of 1981.

The plant has two compound fertilizer units which can also produce diammonium phosphate (DAP) and is situated over an area of approximately 1,100,000 square meters. These units have an annual production capacity of 161,700 tons of monoammonium phosphate (MAP) and 660,000 tons of compound fertilizer (NPK). This capacity can also be used for the production of 200,000 tons of DAP and 330,000 tons of compound fertilizer per year if required. In 2017, the plant started producing organomineral fertilizers as well.

Ceyhan Production Plant sets a good example in the sector with its quality, security and environmental management standards. The facility pioneered the sector by implementing the ISO 9001:2005 Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System, and ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System standards, while the practices implemented by Toros Agri’s Ceyhan Production Plant in this regard have been certified by Bureau Veritas, an international inspection, supervision and certification institution.

Toros Ceyhan Terminal, initially constructed within Ceyhan Production Plant in 1981, but then expanded to serve external customers as well, has now become the largest bulk dry and liquid cargo ports of the Eastern Mediterranean region on an international scale. Toros Terminal, which can simultaneously serve eight ships up to 110,000 DWT, provides its customers with evacuation, loading and storage services in many different product groups other than its own with a port area of 750,000 m2, and can serve 600 ships while offering a handling capacity of 14.5 million tons per year.
