Ceyhan Plant and Highway Facilities of Toros Agri receive "Zero Waste Certificate"

Recognizing an environment-friendly production as one of the most important conditions of a sustainable future, Toros Agri was awarded the “Basic Level Zero Waste Certificate” by the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization of the Governorship of Adana for establishing a zero waste management system at its Ceyhan Plant and Highway Facilities.

Toros Agri profoundly embraces the principle of an environment-friendly production within the framework of the company’s sustainability approach and carries out its activities with this understanding, while making investments and implementing practices aimed at reducing the impact on the environment, and ensures the protection of natural resources through the use of new technologies. Toros Agri follows a waste management philosophy that includes prevention of waste, more efficient use of resources, prevention or minimization of waste generation by reviewing the causes of waste generation, and the collection and recycling of the waste separately at its source when possible.

In this context, Toros Agri has fulfilled its responsibilities such as preventing waste, designating waste collection areas, and providing environmental trainings to employees, which are included in the “Zero Waste Regulation” enacted in 2019, and was awarded the “Basic Level Zero Waste Certificate” by the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization of the Governorship of Adana because of its practices in its Ceyhan Plant and Highway Facilities.

Toros Agri also aims to receive the Silver, Gold and Platinum “Zero Waste Certificate”s in the following stages of its “Zero Waste” project.
