The Mersin and Ceyhan facilities of Toros Agri were designed to provide energy requirements.

Two gas turbine generators each with a capacity of 4,736 MW, one in Mersin and the other in Ceyhan were put into operation in 1999. The hot gasses that come out of the turbines are used for the production of additional steam and for the drying process in manufacturing fertilizer, thus providing additional electrical energy and a savings on "fuel oil" consumption.

Toros Agri continues to produce sufficient amount of energy for its sister companies as well as surplas amount for sale to electrical energy producers and distributors in the region.
