Taking a leading role in the movement toward Free-Trade zones, the Tekfen group has proved its success as founders and directors of the Mersin and Antalya Free Trade Zones by establishing TAYSEB (Toros Adana Yumurtalik FreeTrade Zone Management AS) for every operation from the establishment to the management of free trade zones.

The Adana-Yumurtalik Free Trade Zone is situated in a location that acts as the door to the world for the GAP (Southeastern Anatolia) project. Located 80 km from the Adana airport, 180 km from Gaziantep, 60 km from Iskenderun, 120 km from Antakya and 150 km from Mersin, it is well suited for transport by sea, air and land.

Primarily for the petrochemical and energy sectors, but also to the development of other sectors, TAYSEB is supported by excellent transport options. With its links to the region's highways, the proximity to sea transport is supported by Toros Harbor, Turkey's largest private sector port with a daily loading and unloading capacity of 17,000 tons and the ability to handle ships up to 100,000 DWT. In addition there are rail links to Erzin station, 16 kms away.

The Adana-Yumurtalik Free Trade Zone in Ceyhan-Adana is planned for performing industrial and commercial activities aspecially making investments in petrochemical and energy sectors

This area was planned and put into operation as Turkey's first Free Trade Zone. TAYSEB was set up on a 50km2 area that has been entirely privatized. An initial infrastructure was built on area of 4,500,000 m2 and offered for rent to Free Trade Zone’s user companies to build on. The rest of the privatized land will be included in the operation as the available parts become fully occupied.

TAYSEB was designed to provide for every need of investors in the region. All infrastructure for the entire area has been completed. Just as user companies can build their own facilities, they can also avail themselves of TAYSEB's depots and offices of varying size.
